Neurotec Pharma SL is a pharmaceutical company based in the Parc CientÃfic de Barcelona.
Its aim is to develop new diagnostic tools and treatments for acute and chronic Central Nervous System Diseases.
The company was created in January 2006 as a spin-off of the Universitat de Barcelona, who supports the project. Neurotec Pharma is a consequence of the scientific activities of three researchers of the Neurochemistry Group of the IDIBAPS-UB and the financial co-founder partner Oryzon Genomics SA. It is part of the BioCat Network and the Geadic Biotec consortium.
The Neurochemistry Group is a leading group in the field of Human Neurodegeneration and Central Nervous System diseases located in the Faculty of Medicine. It has received various National Quality Awards.
Oryzon genomics is a functional genomics company based in Barcelona, Spain. It was launched in 2001 as a spin-off of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Barcelona.
