Dr Rodriguez got his degree in Biology in 1995 and moved to the School of Medicine of the Universitat de Barcelona where, in 2000, obtained a PhD in Molecular Pathology. After that, he stay at the same laboratory working on the cellular and molecular basis of neurodegeneration. In 2003, Manuel performed a second postdoctoral stay at the Dept of Pharmacology of the UCL in London, working on the molecular biology of K channels. His scientific interest during all these years has been focused in the excitotoxic mechanisms involved in acute and chronic brain pathologies. Back in the UB, as a consequence of the scientific activities of the Neurochemistry Group, he joined an exciting new project with the foundation in 2006 of Neurotec Pharma.

Dr. Pugliese obtained his degree in veterinary in Perugia (Italy) in 1994. After working in pharmaceutical companies, and veterinarian hospital with specific interest in Neurology and Neurosurgery, he moved to the school of medicine of the University of Barcelona where he got his PhD in Neuroscience in 2005. His scientific interest during all these years has been focused in diagnostic and treatment of acute and chronic neuronal damage in pets. As a consequence of his PhD studies, he co-founded Neurotec Pharma in 2006.

Mr. Echarri obtained a BSc in Economical Studies and in Actuarial Sciences at University of Barcelona. He also obtained an MSc in Financial Management at ESADE. He is also in charge of the Financial operations and Business Development at Oryzon Genomics.
His experience includes the definition, development, and deployment of the program of creation of companies of technological base creted by the Catalonian government. Additionally, he participated in the definition of the lines of the Innovation Plan of Catalonia 2001-2004. His professional experience is centered in the strategic, financial and fiscal consulting of companies of technological base.

Prof. Dr. Mahy obtained her degree in Pharmacy and a Master in Business Administration in 1973 at the University of Caen (France). She moved to Barcelona and obtained her PhD in Neuroscience in 1979, and started teaching at the Faculty of Medicine, where She founded in 1982 the Neurochemistry Research group. She continued leading this group until present. She is member of national and international Evaluation Committees of Research and Education projects.
As a visiting professor she developed research projects at Penn University (Philadelphia, USA), Centre de Neurochimie of the CNRS Strasbourg, Laboratoire de Neurobiologie Cellulaire et Fonctionnelle (Marseille, France), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Roma, Italy) and the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden).
As a recognition of her trajectory, she received the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite of the French Republic in 1998.
She co-founded Neurotec Pharma in 2006.
